ATS Diesel has introduced a complete bolt-on turbo kit for the 1999.5–2003 7.3L. The Aurora Turbo System will be available for these years of Power Strokes in the Aurora 3000, Aurora 4000, Aurora 5000 and Aurora 6000 configurations. As with other ATS kits, no end user fabrication is needed and the kit is supplied with the required mounting hardware, including the cast pedestal, up-pipes and intake pipes. The design of the Aurora Turbocharger supports towing and upgraded power applications, with increased airflow which, according to ATS Diesel, surpasses factory turbo output. Often the up-pipes in the factory system can begin to display leaks when the gasket material fails due to drive pressures fed to the turbo, the ATS system remedies this by using leak-free metal gaskets. This, as well as the many other changes that were made for the Aurora System versus the OEM design, creates a performance advantage for 7.3L owners and opens the door for the many applications that these trucks are used for, according to ATS Diesel.
