Modified 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche is a Sweet Ride for Owner Matt Brookshier

October 5th, 2009 Redline Motive 1 comment

23 year old Matt Brookshier of the L.A. Chapter Nokturnal Car Club truly has a passion for modifying cars with style and performance. His love for cars began from childhood. “My family has always been into cars,” said Brookshier. “My brother built his first muscle car in the early 90’s, and ever since then, I have been interested in building my own.” Brookshier’s first car was a 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC. “After high school I met some guys that shared my love for cars and they had a unique style,” he said. “I knew right away that this was the beginning of a new hobby building cars to display at DUB shows.”

Matt Brookshier’s latest project is a 2007 Chevy Avalanche. This unique Avalanche has an upper and lower E&G Classic mesh grill, suede & vinyl throughout the cab with custom matched doors and panels, 26″ Dub Bombers wheels wrapped in Kuhmo Ecstas, a full air ride with dual port Parker valves leading to a 4 ply Contech bag, 1″ bullet proof plexiglass in the bed to protect the Alpine sound system and many other modifications.

This 5.3 liter Avalanche is equipped with an AEM Brute Force Intake System 21-8023DP. “I have been using AEM for about a year now,” said Brookshier. “I prefer the dry filter over an oiled filter. The AEM intake has performed great and gives me the extra horsepower I lost when I installed the 26″ wheels. Installation was very simple. I did it myself.”

Brookshier’s custom 2007 Avalanche has attended a number of local cruises and car shows as well as DUB L.A., DUB Phoenix, DUB San Jose and the Ludikrs Car and Truck Show.

The upcoming car and truck show season will bring more exciting ideas and creative perspective to a rapidly growing industry. “I have a few ideas in mind for next year,” said Brookshier. “We’ll have to wait and see what is in store for the future.”

Matt Brookshier’s 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche with a 5.3L engine has the following modifications:

Engine – AEM Brute Force Intake (#21-8023DP), Color Matched Engine Cover, Front Radiator Cover and Fuse panel, 260 amp dual alternators powering dual batteries.
