Every effort has been made to produce the best in sound, quality and performance. Three types of systems have been released: S-Type, Touring, and Atak in both rear sections and catback sections. The most popular is often the Atak style, called ATAK (Acoustically-Tuned Applied Kinetics), this new technology produces the highest available dB (decibel) levels in the Borla street-legal lineup, and is designed for high-performance purists who prefer exhaust notes over their stereos. The focus of ATAK is to pump the volume while retaining clarity of sound, avoiding distortion typically found in louder exhausts. With ATAK, the sound output is tuned like a graphic equalizer to shape and focus sound waves for optimum high-volume output.

Ford Motor Company is teaming up with automotive lifestyle magazine DUB to roll out a specially customized version of the new 2011 Mustang, introducing the iconic sports car to a new generation of enthusiasts.

The DUB Edition Mustang is based on Ford’s outstanding new 3.7-liter V-6 Mustang and will be available this fall. A collaboration between Ford, DUB and Roush Industries, the DUB Edition Mustang will be offered as a coupe, convertible or with the best-of-both-worlds Glass Roof option. Both six-speed manual and automatic transmissions are available.

“The Ford Mustang is the most customized vehicle in the world, and this collaboration pushes the boundaries even further,” said Fritz Wilke, Mustang brand manager. “We’re proud of our relationship with DUB and Roush and how they worked together to bring a new look to Mustang, helping the 2011 DUB Edition Mustang V-6 appeal to a whole new audience.” Available only with Ford’s new high-tech, 305-horsepower DOHC 3.7-liter V-6, the DUB Edition Mustang will offer:

-20-inch TIS wheels with Pirelli performance tires
-Roush front fascia and splitter
-Roush quarter window louvers and windshield banner
-Roush lowering springs
-Coupe, convertible or Glass Roof body style
-Six-speed manual or automatic transmission
-3.31 rear axle ratio for spirited acceleration
-DUB logo embroidered in front headrest and DUB stripe package
-Black interior
-Choice of four exterior colors: Black, Grabber Blue, Race Red or Ingot Silver

“Working with Ford and Roush is an honor and has been a dream come true for DUB,” said Myles Kovacs, president and co-founder of DUB magazine. The Mustang is such an iconic muscle car and has always been a customizer’s favorite. The DUB Edition Mustang stays true to its roots, but I think we’ve successfully brought a ton of hustle to the muscle.”

Ford has really been making the Mustang enthusiasts proud. With bringing back the infamous 5.0 for 2011 and giving Chevy a run for their money with horsepower wars, now the Ford is getting into GT3 racing with the 2011 Ford Mustang GT3 built by the Marc VDS racing team and Multimatic in Canada. This 2011 Ford Mustang GT3 is going to be competing in the European FIA GT3 championship and is being tested now at the Ford European test facility near Luton, Bedfordshire.

This 2011 Ford Mustang GT3 is powered by a special 5.3L V8 that makes a smooth 560 horsepower. Weighing in at under 3000 lbs (2970lbs), this car has an incredible power to weight ratio. We’re still waiting on more performance numbers from this beast.

In the spirit of the Cobra!

Alongside the Ford Mustang V6 and its V8 brother Mustang GT there is the crowning glory of the series the wild Mustang Shelby GT500, which is equipped ex factory with 540 PS, an aggressive body and traditional double stripe paintwork. Anyone who remembers the American racing legend Carroll Shelby will be able to instantly imagine how uncompromising and purist the Shelby GT500 factory settings already are. The US car specialist Karl Geiger from Munich has now got its hands on this vehicle and take a look at how the upright Cobra has been transformed into an almost untameable monster!

810 PS, 945 Nm engine torque

As usual the engineers at GeigerCars.de from Munich operated on the open V8 heart of the American muscle car and in the process left no stone unturned. For more pressure they donated a 3.3 litre compressor to the 5.4 litre aluminium engine block which with its 1.6 bar supercharging pressure provides real fire in the forged crank drive. Larger throttle valves, a modified injection system, a 100 millimetre air flow meter and machined cylinder heads also guarantee that the inner organs are fine tuned. Additional coolers for charge air, coolant and engine oil ensure that the eight cylinder can always work at the perfect temperature range despite massively increased power. Thanks to the massive changes the Geiger Mustang Shelby GT now generates a legendary 810 PS at 6,700 rpm, whereas the maximum engine torque of 945 Nm at approx. 4,300 rpm pulls on the increased differentials. Of course with so much engine torque the transmission also had to be reinforced and in the same step its 5th and 6th gears were shortened. A 3 disc carbon clutch produces smooth power transmission. A special manifold with racing catalytic converters and customised sport exhaust guarantee that exhaust gases are disposed of properly according to type.

High end chassis engineering

So that so much power can also be transformed in acceleration, GeigerCars.de fitted the Shelby with a special racing chassis as well as a Panhard rod made from chrome-moly steel including polyurethane bushes on the ends to balance the axial offset and new reinforced and adjustable trailing arms for improved rear axle directional stability. For the all-important contact to the asphalt surface four classic OZ alloy wheels in 8.5 and 10×20 inch guarantee adequate grip thanks to Michelin high performance tyres in 245/35ZR20 and 285/30ZR20. The upright Cobra is slowed down using 6 piston high performance brakes on the front axle with 380 millimetre large drilled or optionally slotted brake discs.

Perhaps this Mustang Shelby version would also put the fear of God into the US racing legend Carroll Shelby!

Mustang 2005-08 V6/V8 coupe incl. GT500 & Shelby Cobra
Part #: KCA305 MSRP:
$342.60

Whiteline is pleased to announce the release of the very innovative and highly anticipated Whiteline Anti Dive Kit for 2005+ Mustangs . What’s this you ask? Anti-dive is a suspension parameter that affects the amount of suspension deflection when the brakes are applied. Have you ever driven a Mustang and under hard braking it feels like the rear end of the vehicle passes over the top of you. Well this kit is a must for any Mustang owner as it resets the front to rear end geometry and forces the energy or inertia under heavy braking along the vehicle rather than over it. The WADK (Whiteline Anti Dive Kit) is a direct replacement – bolt on unit that replaces all 2005 to present, Mustang front lower control arm – rear bushing/mounting.

Key features of the WADK include:
• High strength and light weight anodised aluminium mounts with revised anti-dive geometry to minimise suspension deflection under braking.
• 2 point static caster adjustment (up to 0.75º increase) for improved steering response.
• Low compliance polyurethane bushings provide low rotational resistance and deliver minimum dynamic caster loss leading to a more positive steering feel.
• A complete set of mounting fixtures to bolt on with ease

For those new to Whiteline, the brand graces a number performance suspension components that work hard to deliver real results and performance outcomes for vehicles and motorists the world over. Whiteline’s primary focus was delivering more ‘bang for your buck’ handling gains from the simplicity of an anti sway bar. But over the years, the expertise, the knowledge, the reputation and the Whiteline products have grown to include infamous suspension products such as anti lift/caster kits, roll center adjuster kits, adjustable control arms, camber kits, strut and chassis bracing.
