HKS Hi Power Exhaust
Inspired and designed from endurance and GT racing in Japan, HKS developed its Hi-Power Exhaust system for both turbocharged and naturally aspirated applications. HKS has incorporated this new race inspired offset muffler and piping design into many street applications, which offers a greater flow and higher-PRM power gains due to the less restrictive design. This is achieved by eliminating unnecessary bends for the straightest exhaust path.

For turbocharged applications, the large and smooth exhaust flow allows greater exhaust velocity for better mid-range boost response and high-RPM power. Naturally aspirated vehicles also benefit from greater exhaust flow capacity as engine tuning levels increase. Certain applications are available in a Silent Hi-Power version which has an inner silencer built into the muffler. Like Drager Exhaust systems, Hi-Power Exhaust systems are made from SUS304 stainless steel muffler and tip assemblies. Depending on the application, Hi-Power muffler tips are 96mm, 115mm and 120mm in diameter, piping diameter ranges from 55mm to 95mm. Special Edition HKS Carbon Titanium Hi-Power Exhaust systems are exclusively available for certain popular applications. These exclusive versions of the Hi-Power Exhaust consist of a carbon fiber wrapped muffler shell, titanium tip, and polished SUS304 stainless steel piping.

HKS introduces the GT II 7460R Turbo Upgrade for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV-IX

HKS USA, Inc., the premier manufacturer and supplier of premium automotive performance systems, launches the first of its proprietary design HKS GTII Series turbocharger kits, the GTII 7460R.

As the first of the new HKS turbocharger line, the GTII 7460R incorporates a reverse rotation turbine design that provides the benefit of a bolt-on application, stock replacement upgrade turbocharger for the Mitsubishi Evolution IV-IX.

The special cast turbine and compressor housings of the HKS GTII 7460R allows it to be a true bolt-on upgrade for the Mitsubishi Evolution IV-IX by utilizing the OEM exhaust manifold. The HKS GTII 7460R is also a twin scroll, reverse rotation turbocharger. This design allows for a shorter and straighter exhaust path to the turbine wheel, delivering the benefits of less restriction and increased boost response while allowing full spool and stable boost pressure throughout the RPM range. Intake and exhaust port designs optimize the flow area to allow an increase in air-flow capacity while the ball bearing center housing rotating assembly (CHRA) improves low-speed response and quicker boost pressure ramp up times Use of premium materials include inconel® for the turbine wheel because of inconel’s resistance to oxidation and its ability to maintain its structural integrity in high temperature atmospheres. Special heat resistant cast material increases the reliability and durability of the turbine housing.

The GTII 7460R produced 373.4 WHP and 355.62 ft. lbs Torque with the boost set at 1.78 Bar (25.8 PSI) on 93 octane.

Actually, it looks to me like this video is played in accelerated mode, so that makes the car seem to rev faster and sound like a motorcycle. Why did you do this HKS? Let us awe in the original video, don’t show us something to trick us.

The HKS Supercharger for the Honda CR-Z seems new, as HKS hasn’t announced this before. HKS only announced Honda CR-Z mods such as an ECU upgrade, cold air intake, exhaust and a Hipermax III suspension.

HKS has released an SSQV3 blow off valve kit specifically for the 2009+ Lancer Ralliart. At the same time HKS released a redesigned stage 1 camshaft for the SR20DET (RPS13). These redesigned cams improve performance above 5,500rpms widening the power band all the way up to the rev limiter.

HKS has released Hipermax V-Sport coilover for the 2010+ Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The Hipermax V-Sport coilovers are ride height adjustable as well as 30 way damper adjustable. These units come with 5.5kgf/mm front springs and 7.4kgf/mm rear springs and use stock upper mounts. At an MSRP of $1650 these should have a place in the market place.

HKS introduces the newly re-designed Racing Suction Reloaded intake systems. These intake systems feature HKS’ new Reloaded air filter assembly which maintains HKS’ race proven and patented Super Funnel design, but also incorporates new technical advances for improved performance and filtration.

The Racing Suction Reloaded intake series utilizes HKS’ high-flowing wet 2-layer dual density polyurethane filter element for applications looking for the absolute in performance. The Racing Suction Reloaded intake kits offer the same simple and easy filter element replacement process as previous generations; avoiding the need to wash or re-oil the intake filter.

- New Super Honeycomb frame allows for 30% more intake surface area for improved throttle response.

HKS introduces the third generation Super Sequential Blow-Off Valve, Super SQV3. In 1994 HKS introduced the first Sequential Blow-Off Valve with a unique pull-type sequential valve structure and a differential pressure control system that allows a broad operation range from low to high boost. This pull-type relief design ensures stable operation regardless of boost pressure.

New Super SQV 3 features include a nickel-plated, die-cast metal secondary valve which is swaged to the primary valve, a stainless steel C-Clip and spring to increase sealing and durability. To assure buyers that they are purchasing an authentic HKS product, the new design incorporates a holographic HKS logo on the back of the valve as well as additional HKS logos cast onto the body.

The Super SQV 3 utilizes the same mounting flanges as all previous generation SSQV’s to assure compatibility with all optional HKS SSQV inserts, recirculation fittings and recirculation kits. The new SSQV 3 valves also come with a lower MSRP!
